The WOOLF Interior Design London studio loved the opening party of the Bourne & Hollingsworth bar/restaurant in the heart of East London.  We were invited by the fine trio of ‘Red Deer Architects’ who have combined their creative juices with Bourne & Hollingsworth’s own creative team and the result is an interior with a blend of artistic cool and understated charm.

The concept was to create a worn interior reminiscent of an old European socialite’s home.  Working with this idea, the 220sqm interior space was elegantly filled with many appropriate features, including custom ironwork shelving, cane benches, wrought iron chairs, rich upholstery and classic cornicing. The interior design is a superb contrast with the light textures of whitewashed floorboards, fine oak, mirrors and white marble backgrounds.    Explore WOOLF projects

There are  five different spaces: The  Bottle Room, a 14-person dining room with floor-to-ceiling antique display cabinets. The  cocktail bar, on the  sunny west-facing side of the building, featuring a customised mosaic bar top over cast concrete panels. The café  area with winged mahogany wicker chairs and high-backed sofas. The restaurant and the greenhouse are beautifully flooded with sunlight but created out of an existing dark alley. Look out for the unexpected surprise in this space.   Explore WOOLF projects

SET DESIGN

Prior to setting up WOOLF Interior Design & Architecture in West London, Verity was a production designer and set designer in the television and film industry. She designed many sets based upon a plethora of story lines, and characters from various eras. Many of her design concepts were of a historic or supernatural nature.  A set design element is evident in Bourne & Hollingsworth’s work. Their in-house design team work hard to tailor each event in line with the creative brief and budget of the client, with the use of props, menu design, theming, set up and dress code of bar staff etc.

This attention to detail carries through to the venues, each one with its own style, whilst still delivering the B&H ethos of beautiful interiors in classic buildings. They strive to create breathtaking spaces (indoor and outdoor) that inspire their customers and lead new trends.  Explore WOOLF projects
