Interior ArchitectURE Services

What is Interior Architecture?

Interior architecture takes a technical approach to the spatial arrangement of internal spaces. This specialism, considers how those spaces are to be constructed and how the various essential services will be integrated. It is a skill that blends the art of interior decoration, interior design and architecture.

Interior Architecture is often understood as interior design, plus an understanding of the structural and material nature of a building. Interior architecture is the balancing of the art and science of designing an interior space, taking into account every element of a build.

Following our initial appraisal of a project, we provide a complimentary design proposal outlining the proposed spatial planning, scope of services, a detailed fee structure, the timescale and broader anticipated project costs.

Spatial design and functionality are established in the initial design phase and are then developed into detailed interior technical drawings. WOOLF’s interior architects create bespoke plans for each space, articulating the spatial flow throughout the property, focusing on creating exceptional layouts for bathrooms, kitchens, furniture, lighting & electrical planning.

We will also consider the building’s fabric, from staircases and internal doors, to cornices and built-in joinery, so that every detail of the interior of a building is considered and connects together beautifully and seamlessly.

We embrace the innate, unique character and era of each building, whilst also considering the ways in which contemporary owners of period properties will use them.
